Cool down in the heat of the Summer with an exciting adventure race for all ages. H2OBX, the Outer Banks #1 family fun attraction is proud to bring you the H2OBX Dash & Splash. This 2 mile race brings you across the park grounds, around its attractions, through the 1/4 Mile Lazy River (that's right "through" the Lazy River) for a quick finish around the park again. This is a fast and fun family friendly race for everyone.

This clock timed event is runner/walker friendly. You will get wet. Our lazy river starts and finishes at a zero depth and does not exceed 3 ft. Walk it, run it, swim it as long as you finish it Life-jackets will be available if needed.
All participants receive a 1 day park pass good for the 2024 season, summer series t-shirt, limited edition finisher medal and memories to last a lifetime. Awards to the top 3 overall fastest male/female participants. Arrive early for check-in event morning, There is no pre-event day pickup. Safety officials and life guards will be on the course to ensure a good time is had by all.

Some important details: Race day check in at H2OBX 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM, Event Location H2OBX Water Park click HERE for Directions This is a run - splash - run with the race start at the Main Entry and tours the park exterior. Enter the water park grounds and run to the Lazy river. Shoes off, navigate the lazy river (walk it, run it, swim it), exit, and finish on the run outside the park. There is no formal "transition" or staging area at the water entry/exit, Kick your shoes off, get in, have fun, get out, shoes on or off to complete your final run portion. This is a fun adventure for all ages and abilities. If you need assistance or you have a small child life jackets will be available at the water entry. All participants must exit the park by 9:00 AM. The Park re-opens at 10 AM.
